Mr. Basu Ghosh is a serial entrepreneur. His two current enterprises are Omnikron Systems, Inc, a software consulting company servicing Fortune Five Hundred clients for the past 30 years, and Basu’s Homestyle Indian Cuisine, a company five years in the making, dedicated to bringing high quality Homestyle Indian cuisine to the mainstream American market (Costco, Whole Foods, Kroger, Ralphs, etc.). Before founding Omnikron Systems, Inc., Ghosh managed the implementation of the enterprise-wide retail banking application for First Interstate Bank. His career includes training and development of large-scale transaction processing systems for organizations such as Federal Express, IBM Canada, Bank of America, VISA, Citicorp, and Marriot Hotels. He has more than 20 years of experience in all facets of software design and implementation of enterprise-wide applications. Over the last five years, Ghosh has put in 10,000 hours in becoming an expert in manufacturing Homestyle Indian food in industrial scale. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from UCLA. He received his BS (1968) and MS (1970) in Applied Geology from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and MA (1973) in Geology from Boston University.

TiE was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region. There are currently more than 11,000 members and over 2,500 charter members in 53 chapters across 12 countries. TiE’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, and education. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurs.
